Provo MTC

Jared was in the Provo MTC for four weeks. He did great and really enjoyed it. Here are some of the pictures he sent to us and some clips from his letters.
I seriously pray every 20 minutes. lol. its so funny. you pray when you get up, when you set out all together, then in class pray before you start to study, and then when the teacher comes pray before you start to learn more, then close with it, then every meal of coarse. and then pray together as a room for the next day to have the spirit and everything, and then pray by yourself! haha. its so funny. i thought i prayed a lot at home! holy smokes i was wrong. the MTC is definately not what i thought it was going to be like super stressful, and everything packed into little times and stuff. i will try and send pictures next time. i really have taken any yet though... but i will!! we were all talking today about how we really want to get our visas! we all think that when we actually get in to brasil it will be way easier to learn the language.

we had TRC training yesterday though... it actually went so so good! we have to contact and talk to them in portuguese and get to know them and everything first, then we ask if we can continue in english, and then we teach them the first lession! oh ps, they are called mock investigators and you totally just teach them like you would any other investigator out in the field. everytime i talk in english here it totally makes me feel like i was cheating. lol. like when i pray, if i dont know how to say it in portuguese i just say it in english, but it makes me feel like i totally did something so wrong! haha.

Just remember everyone that the gospel is so so true! its so amazing! i constantly feel the spirit here and it always makes me so happy!

Well this week we had another TRC session. where me and my companion go in and teach the first lesson with an investigator. we have to talk in portuguese for about 15 minutes before and get to know them, and then we set up a time to come back, and then we leave and come back into the room speaking english. i seriously thought it went so good! even though she was a member being a mock investigator i could totally tell she was learning, and we were all feeling the spirit so much its insane. i had no idea what i was going to say when i went in there to be honest. but the spirit totally told me what to say, and by the end she was like legit crying, and we were doing like way good. i love teaching!!

im not sure if i told yall, but i am actually giong to perform in front of all of the missionaries at a fireside! no im not singing...lol. i am being a narator for a joseph smith thingy. and its not me just reading it off upstairs or something. i have to be dressed up and everything! i go out and have to say everything and walk off everytime. lol. i know...SUPER random! but its gonna be cool. but on top of all the portugues and gospel studies i have to memorize all of it! lol. in two weeks. OH!!! guess what??? the prophet is coming next week and they are talking! isnt that the coolest thing ever?? im gonna be RIGHT next to the prophet! two kids are actually in the 36 person MTC choir and they get to sing for all of them. i think that is like super cool :)
